FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are the questions we hear most often from prospective members—plus clear, honest answers to help you decide if Vitruvian Fitness® is a good fit.

🌟 About Vitruvian Fitness

1. What makes Vitruvian Fitness different from other gyms near Wheat Ridge or Lakewood?
Most gyms offer generic group classes or leave you to figure things out on your own. We don’t do either. At Vitruvian Fitness, every member follows a
fully personalized strength program, coached by experts, in a small group setting. It’s efficient, structured, and designed around your goals, injuries, and schedule—no cookie-cutter workouts, ever.

2. What is personalized strength training in a small group setting?
You train with a small group (usually 3–5 people), but
everyone is doing their own program, written just for them. A coach is with you the entire time—teaching, correcting form, modifying exercises, and answering questions. It’s like personal training, but more affordable and more fun.

3. I’m not very fit—can I still join?
Yes. About half of our members were
not athletic growing up. They’re here because they want to move better, feel stronger, and stay independent as they age—not because they love working out. We’ll meet you exactly where you are and build your strength step by step.

4. How do you build a program that’s tailored to me?
We start with a consultation and a movement assessment (called a Functional Movement Screen). Then we design a custom plan based on your current fitness, injury history, goals, and preferences. We update it regularly based on your progress and feedback—so it evolves with you.

5. Is this personal training or group fitness? Or something in between?
It’s the best of both. You get
1-on-1 coaching inside a small group, with a program that’s yours alone. You’ll work hard, but you won’t be competing with anyone. We call it Personalized Strength Training in Small Groups—because that’s exactly what it is.

6. Do you offer drop-in classes or open gym hours?
It depends. All training at Vitruvian is
by appointment only and fully coached. That’s how we maintain high quality, safety, and personal attention. You’ll never have to wonder what to do or whether you’re doing it right—we’ll guide you the whole way. However, you’re always welcome to come in to do cardio and to open gym on Saturdays when the pace and vibe are more relaxed.

7. What are your coaching qualifications? Who designs the workouts?
All our coaches are certified professionals with deep experience in strength training, injury prevention, and functional movement. Programs collaboratively by the whole team lead by our head coach, Tom Wigginton. We blend
science, experience, and empathy to help real people get strong safely and consistently.

🔮 Trial Membership & Getting Started

8. What’s included in the 14-Day Trial Membership?
The trial includes a 1-on-1 consultation, a personalized strength program, and 6 to 8 training sessions over two weeks. You’ll work with our coaching team, follow your own plan, and get a real feel for how we train.

9. How much coaching and support do I get during the trial?
You’ll get coaching every time you train. A coach will guide your warm-up, check your form, adjust your program, and answer your questions. This is not a DIY or self-paced trial—we’re with you from start to finish.

10. Is there a sales pitch or pressure to join after the trial?
No pressure, ever. We invite you to train with us, get strong, and decide for yourself. If it’s a good fit, we’ll help you choose a membership. If not, we part as friends.

11. How do I schedule my first visit?
After you sign up for the trial, we’ll contact you to book your consultation. From there, you can use our app or website to reserve training times that fit your schedule.

12. What happens during the initial consultation?
You’ll meet 1-on-1 with a coach to discuss your goals, history, preferences, and injuries. We’ll also guide you through a short movement screen to help us write the best possible program for you.

13. Can I do the trial even if I have an injury or condition?
Yes. Many of our members start with pain, limitations, or past injuries. We design your program around what you
can do—and work toward restoring what you want to do.

14. Do I need to prepare or train before I start?
Not at all. We build your program from wherever you are right now. You don’t need to get in shape to join—joining is how you get in shape.

⏰ Schedule, Location, and Logistics

15. What are your hours and how flexible is scheduling?
We offer sessions mornings, evenings, and mid-day, six days a week. You can schedule sessions when it works for you, and we make it easy to reschedule or cancel when life happens.

16. How many people are in each session? Will I get enough attention?
Our small groups average 3 to 5 people. A coach is always present, working with everyone individually. You’ll get plenty of support, and we’ll never let you go unnoticed.

17. Where are you located and where should I park?
We’re at 7605 W 44th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, just off Wadsworth. There’s plenty of free parking right out front.

18. Do I need to bring anything with me?
Just comfortable clothes, clean shoes, and a water bottle. We provide everything else—equipment, coaching, and encouragement.

19. What should I wear to my first session?
Wear something you can move in comfortably. Sneakers or training shoes with good grip are ideal. No need for fancy gear.

💸 Pricing & Membership

20. How much does it cost after the trial?
Most members train 2x or 3x per week. Memberships range from
$319 to $409 per month depending on frequency. That includes your custom program, all coaching, and progress tracking.

21. What’s included in a membership?
You get a personalized training plan, professional coaching every session, unlimited program updates, and full access to our member app. We track your progress and adjust your training every step of the way.

22. Do you offer month-to-month memberships?
We offer 6-month memberships because consistency builds results. We don’t believe in short-term fixes. That said, if you’re not sure, the 14-Day Trial is the perfect way to test it out.

23. Do you offer discounts for couples or families?
Yes, we offer partner and household discounts. Just ask during your consultation and we’ll walk you through the options.

24. Do you take insurance or HSA/FSA cards?
We don’t bill insurance directly, but many members pay with
HSA or FSA cards. We can provide documentation if your provider requires it.

🤔 Common Concerns & Objections

25. What if I haven’t exercised in years?
That’s totally normal. Many of our members are starting fresh or restarting after a long break. We design your program to start where you are—and help you build strength and confidence week by week.

26. What if I have arthritis, back pain, or joint issues?
We work with many clients managing pain or injuries. Your coach will design a safe, joint-friendly program and coach your technique closely. Strength training done right can actually
reduce pain over time.

27. What if I don’t like cardio?
Good news: this isn’t a bootcamp. We focus on
building strength first. Cardio is important, but we integrate it in ways that are doable, purposeful, and not soul-crushing.

28. What if I’m already lifting weights—will this be too basic for me?
Probably not. Our programs scale to challenge all levels. We coach proper technique, use progressive overload, and tailor training to your goals—whether that’s deadlifting 300 pounds or staying strong for skiing.

29. What if I’ve never lifted weights—will this be too advanced for me?
Not at all. You’ll learn everything step by step. We teach proper form, build your skills slowly, and never throw you into the deep end. You’ll be surprised how quickly you feel confident.

30. What if I travel often or have an unpredictable schedule?
We get it. Life is busy. Our flexible scheduling and personalized approach mean you can train consistently, even if your weeks vary. Plus, we can write travel workouts if you need them.
